Data and privacy
We collect visit statistics to understand which properties and sections people actually need. This site uses our own analytics and Google Analytics 4. Our own analytics data stays on our server; Google Analytics data is processed by Google.
What we collect
- Page views: path, language, pagination page, result count, city/area/type, property or project slug.
- Interaction: clicks on cards, filters and contacts, scroll depth, an activity ping every 15 seconds, rage clicks.
- Technical data: device type, OS, browser, country, referrer (domain and utm tags, without the query string), JavaScript errors, page speed metrics.
- Identifiers: a random browser number in the aw_vid cookie (one year) and a visit number in sessionStorage (30 minutes). These are random numbers and are not linked to your name.
- Google Analytics: page views and interactions, page URLs and referral sources, browser and device information. The _ga and _ga_YHD4CVB2XB cookies distinguish browsers and visits. We do not send enquiry contents or session recordings to Google Analytics.
- In our own analytics, your IP address is not stored. Our server uses it only to look up your country in the DB-IP database (db-ip.com, licensed under CC BY 4.0); all that remains of the address is an irreversible hash with a secret salt, used to prevent abuse.
- Session recording: from the second page of a visit we record anonymous on-page movement. The contents of every input field and the contact block are masked while recording — they never leave your browser.
- Enquiry: whatever you type into the form — name, contact, message and the page you sent it from.
How long we keep it
- Events — 180 days.
- Session recordings — 7 days.
- Sessions — 400 days.
- Enquiries — 3 years, the length of a client relationship.
- The periods above apply to our database. Google Analytics data retention depends on the property settings in Google Analytics; its cookies default to up to two years, renewed on visits.
How to turn it off
The button below turns off both our own analytics and Google Analytics in this browser: the server sets an opt-out cookie, deletes the visitor identifier, and the page disables the Google tag, removes its cookies, and stops sending events and recording. You can still send an enquiry — the form works independently of analytics.
Analytics is on.
The setting lives in a cookie in this browser. Turning it off also clears the local keys aw_session, aw_seen, aw_pages, aw_chunk.
Data deletion
Write to us and we will delete your browser statistics from our database and your enquiry. For our database we need the identifier — you can see it in the aw_vid cookie in developer tools. This identifier is not linked to Google Analytics data; please specify any request to delete that data separately.
